Communications Advisor I

Communications Advisor role supports the Corporate Communications team in leading Intact Financial Corporation's Internal and External Communications, enhancing employee engagement, protecting and promoting the IFC brand, and elevating IFC's role in building resilient communities.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for supporting a wide range of programs and initiatives, providing back-end support on key communications channels and platforms, distributing and posting communications, tracking KPIs, and creating reports to identify opportunities to strengthen employee communications.

Key responsibilities include writing, reviewing, editing, and posting communications to corporate channels, coordinating distribution of internal and external communications materials, maintaining distribution lists, working with internal roles to brainstorm content ideas, monitoring and responding to employee queries, coordinating translation of content, and supporting and evaluating results of communication campaigns.

Requirements include an undergraduate degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related discipline, entry-level to 3 years of communications experience, excellent writing and organizational skills, strong attention to detail, ability to manage tight deadlines, and willingness to learn new skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Writes, reviews, edits and posts communications to corporate channels
  • Coordinates distribution of internal and external communications materials
  • Maintains distribution lists and coordinates internal distribution
  • Works with internal roles to brainstorm content ideas
  • Monitors and responds to employee queries
  • Coordinates translation of content
  • Supports and evaluates results of communication campaigns
  • Conducts research to support team decision-making
  • Coordinates meetings and supporting materials
  • Becomes in-house subject matter expert on software platforms
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or related discipline
  • Entry-level to 3 years of communications experience

  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Highly computer literate with strong command of MS Office suite
