About the Role

The Corporate Communications team at Intact Financial Corporation is seeking a Communications Advisor to support the team's Internal and External Communications efforts. This role will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of communications strategies that align with the company's business objectives and strategic roadmap.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the communications team in developing and implementing communications strategies and plans
  • Provide back-end support for key communications channels and platforms, including the intranet and website
  • Distribute and post communications on various channels, tracking KPIs and creating reports to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Support the drafting, editing, and proofreading of content to support the company's reputation, strategic priorities, and business initiatives
  • Coordinate the distribution of internal and external communications materials
  • Maintain internal and external distribution lists and coordinate internal distribution with other brands, regions, and business lines
  • Work with key internal roles to brainstorm content ideas and develop communications plans
  • Monitor and respond to employee queries to the corporate communications inbox
  • Coordinate translation of content
  • Support and evaluate the results of communication campaigns and produce reports
  • Conduct research to support team decision-making
  • Coordinate meetings and supporting materials
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field
  • Entry-level to 3 years of communications experience in a corporate environment
  • Excellent writing and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to manage tight deadlines
  • Takes initiative, is flexible, and adapts easily to change
  • Committed to delivering high standards of client service
  • Willingness and ability to learn new skills to support the team
  • Highly computer literate with strong command of MS Office suite
