Community Engagement Coordinator role at Good Neighbours Canada involves enhancing the organization's visibility through fundraising event coordination, community service delivery, and donor engagement.

Good Neighbours Canada is an international humanitarian development non-governmental organization (NGO) founded in South Korea in 1991. It focuses on fundraising, refugee and newcomer settlement programs, and global development campaigns to support field projects.

The Community Engagement Coordinator will:

  • Provide direct community service through digital education programs and craft workshops for racialized groups and seniors.
  • Coordinate fundraising events and solicit sponsorships to support Good Neighbours Canada's projects.
  • Seek corporate sponsorship opportunities and manage in-kind donations.
  • Organize and deliver community engagement events to support equity-seeking groups.
  • Manage donor relations for the charity's Korean-speaking donor base.
  • Draft and update thank-you messages in Korean for donors.
  • Maintain the Donor Management System database.
  • Track and record touchpoints and donor interactions.
  • Analyze donor needs and cultivate donor relationships.
  • Conduct research to assess donor interests and giving history.
  • Engage with stakeholders and partners to strengthen relationships and expand fundraising opportunities.
  • Secure in-kind donations from corporate partners.
  • Ensure compliance with fundraising ethics and confidentiality.
  • Act as an ambassador of Good Neighbours Canada.
  • Support additional organizational needs.

Qualifications:

  • Full-time availability (40 hours per week).
  • Fluency in English and Korean.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience in community engagement with diverse groups.
  • Technological proficiency, including client database maintenance.
  • Design skills, with experience using Canva or similar tools.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain self-motivation.
  • A team player who enjoys working with colleagues and the community.

Compensation:

  • $41,000 gross annually.
  • Group benefit plan available after probationary period.
  • Hybrid work model: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in-office, with two days working from home.
