Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corridor Management Senior Project Manager to join our team at the Ministry of Transportation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise, advice, and guidance to internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise, advice, and guidance to internal and external stakeholders on corridor management permit requirements, utility move orders, transportation planning, design, and construction.
  • Support and provide guidance in the ministry's review of politically sensitive and/or complex development proposals.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior ministry officials, municipalities, agencies, utility companies, and the public.
  • Participate on committees and the development of policy and procedures related to corridor management.
Requirements
  • Proven leadership and project management skills to lead and coordinate corridor management projects.
  • Advanced interpersonal and communication skills to establish, maintain, and negotiate effective relationships with senior staff, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated conflict resolution skills to interact with stakeholders with opposing interests and positions.
  • Proven negotiation skills to resolve contentious issues.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of civil engineering theories, principles, and practices, with emphasis on corridor management permit requirements, utility move orders, transportation planning, design, and construction.
  • Ability to interpret and apply functionally-related municipal, provincial, and federal legislation, policies, procedures, and standards.
