Interpersonal, Conflict Resolution and Negotiation Skills:
  • Advanced interpersonal and communication skills to establish, maintain and negotiate effective relationships with senior staff, colleagues and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated conflict resolution skills to interact with stakeholders with opposing interests and positions
  • Proven strong negotiation skills to resolve contentious issues
  • Demonstrated consultation and facilitation skills to provide technical advice
Analytical, Problem Solving and Researching Skills:
  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills to identify ministry requirements, and to develop effective solutions to resolve issues and problems related to Move Orders and Corridor Management Permits
Technical Expertise:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of civil engineering theories, principles and practices with emphasis on corridor management permit requirements, utility move orders, transportation planning, design and construction and land use planning
  • Proven ability to interpret and apply functionally-related municipal, provincial and federal legislation, policies, procedures, and standards
  • Knowledge of common office software for word processing, data analysis and making presentations
