About the OpportunityAs a Sales Representative, you will report to the Vice President of Sales and work closely with the Operations team to build strong relationships with clients and identify new business opportunities. You will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve business growth and profitability, as well as building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the freight forwarding and logistics market.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business growth and profitability.
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients to ensure repeat business.
- Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their logistics requirements.
- Handle client inquiries, provide quotations, and negotiate contracts effectively.
- Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to potential clients, highlighting the benefits of our freight forwarding services.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline management using CRM software.
- Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Stay informed about industry developments, regulations, and best practices.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the company's services.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Minimum of 4+ years of sales experience selling freight forwarding or logistics services preferred
- Proven track record of meeting and/or exceeding sales targets
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in MS Office and CRM software
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
