About the Role

Mercer is seeking a highly skilled Senior Health and Benefits Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our consulting team, you will play a critical role in leading consulting engagements with employers regarding their medical, dental, life, disability benefit plans and programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead client engagements, including managing overall service delivery, strategy, financial evaluations, plan design, renewals, business placement, benchmarking, and other studies.
  • Develop benefits design and renewal strategies and drive the development of tools and solutions to address client issues.
  • Effectively communicate Mercer's position on the latest industry trends to clients.
  • Be accountable for revenue and profitability for client accounts and projects.
  • Generate sales by expanding revenues from existing clients and leading prospecting efforts with new clients.
  • Set strategic direction that creates demand for new products and services in the marketplace.
Requirements
  • BA/BS degree.
  • At least 8 years' experience in identifying, designing, recommending, and implementing efficient, innovative business solutions to clients' healthcare benefits challenges.
  • Valid and current LLQP or AMF license.
  • Renowned expertise and industry reputation in health and accident benefits, special risks, including expatriate benefits.
  • Experience in managing product turnkey solutions, placement, and dedicated facilities.
  • Superior analytical, mathematical, strategic planning, consulting, and business development skills, coupled with excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Demonstrated management skills in leading projects.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
