Quality Assurance Specialist Quality Assurance Specialist

D & V Electronics is a leading manufacturer of innovative electronic solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team.

About the Role

The Quality Assurance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards, minimizing quality costs, and maximizing customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure incoming materials meet required quality standards.
  • Identify and resolve quality issues promptly to minimize impact on customers.
  • Work with the team to develop and implement best practices for defect prevention, reduction in variation, and waste.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Purchasing, and Engineering departments to ensure seamless quality management.
  • Support the management of all quality-related issues within the manufacturing team.
  • Conduct supplier validation audits and product/process auditing.
  • Monitor and report on quality-related key performance indicators.
  • Ensure compliance with the Quality Management system (ISO9001).
  • Lead the supplier approval process and perform on-site supplier visits.
  • Collate and evaluate supplier quality data to identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and implement corrective action plans to address process failures.
  • Coordinate the incoming inspection process and control the status and calibration of measuring and test equipment.
  • Promote the use of preferred techniques for continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with 5-10 years' experience in a quality role in the manufacturing industry.
  • ASQ Certificate is an asset.
  • Working knowledge of quality management systems, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA).
  • Lean Manufacturing knowledge and inspection methods/audit experience are required.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, good understanding of manufacturing processes, and ability to travel.
