We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team at Red Seal Recruiting Solutions Ltd. as a Generator Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert generator service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Perform emergency service, preventative maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and instruction for customer generators.
- Test, measure, and verify electrical component operations, including energized components and electrical fields.
- Program, test, connect transfer switches and trouble shoot both generators and synchronizing controls system.
- Conduct startups and load bank tests as required.
- Operate / diagnose engine driven gensets powered by diesel or natural gas.
- Build strong customer relationships by engaging in positive, professional communications.
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure prompt response to customer needs.
- Power Generation Diploma, Certified Mechanic or Millwright with electrical skills.
- Mechanical, engine, and electrical trouble shooting skills.
- Valid DL in good standing.
- Experience in a field service role with superior customer service skills.
- Working knowledge of D/C and A/C electrical systems.
- Comfortable using MS Office suite including Outlook.
