Purpose of the Position

This role serves as the single point of contact for all IS workforce and financial planning as it relates to operational expenses. The goal is to enable the department to forecast and control the cost of providing IS services to the company, supporting the Chief Information Officer and direct reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop financial planning processes and analysis for the provision of IS services
  • Monitor and manage the IS budget for operational expenses
  • Calculate and communicate costs associated with providing IS services and key performance measures
  • Perform complex analysis work, develop and implement methods and procedures for improved workflow or processes, provide staff utilization/resource planning
  • Identify areas where workforce budget, project delivery schedule, and overall IS budget are not aligned for success. This role works with budget owners and the Manager, IS Finances
  • Liaise between IS, Finance, HR, and other business divisions as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field
  • Accounting designation considered an asset
  • Working knowledge of SAP systems
  • Investment reporting
  • Cost-benefit analysis
  • Asset management for IT
