Job DescriptionPosition: Public Health Nurse
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate health and health risks for people in Prince Albert Parkland Health Region.
- Provide consultation and support to a wide array of professionals in the community.
- Work under the direction of the Manager of Public Health Nursing.
- Minimum 2 years Public Health Nursing experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN).
- Registered Nurse (RN).
- Valid Class 5 driver's license.
- Advanced - Communication skills.
- Intermediate - Assessment skills.
- Intermediate - Interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing conditions.
- Working knowledge in health promotion.
- Ability to manage anaphylaxis and immunization administration.
- Ability to competently use computers and software applications.
- Knowledge in community health nursing theory and principles.
- Knowledge in immunology and biologicals used for immunizations.
- Knowledge in community health and public health concepts.
- Knowledge in growth and development of newborns/children/adolescents/adults.
- Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS).
