About the Role

The Labour and Employment Board is seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Labour Relations Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the Board's mission to promote fair labour practices and resolve employment disputes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process applications and complaints filed with the Board, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory standards.
  • Provide expert advice on labour relations and employment law to the Board and stakeholders.
  • Assist with the drafting of documents and correspondence in both official languages.
  • Edit Board decisions prior to release, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Conduct representation votes as Returning Officer.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, social sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum of four years of related work experience, including experience in reading and interpreting legislation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and French.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Law degree.
  • Experience working in a quasi-judicial administrative tribunal or a similar environment.
