We're seeking a skilled Clinical Therapist to join our Adult Service team in Mental Health and Addictions. As a Clinical Therapist, you will provide assessment and planning, treatment and intervention, and crisis management for clients. You will also participate in quality initiatives in the program of care, engage in collaborative person-centred care, and utilize available information technology to support best practice.

About the Opportunity
  • Master's degree in a clinical health-related discipline
  • Current registration with relevant provincial regulatory body
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of standard criteria used for the classification and diagnosis of mental health disorders
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in providing individual and group evidence-informed therapies based on care plan to clients with mental illness, substance use disorders, and/or concurrent disorders
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in collaborating with families in relation to sharing information and implementing family-sensitive services that involve families in the care and recovery of people living mental illness and addiction
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in crisis intervention, suicide, and violence risk assessment/intervention
  • Non-violent crisis intervention and suicide risk assessment preferred
  • Demonstrated awareness of community resources and programs
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational and prioritization skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • High level of written/oral/interpersonal communication skills; experience with conflict resolution
  • Ability to work effectively in multiple software applications required
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, work independently with limited supervision and participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Two years related clinical experience is required. If not available, candidates with less than two years' experience may be considered for the selection process.

Hours
  • Part Time Long Assignment; 30 hours bi-weekly
  • Approximately 1 year term
  • Dates are subject to change
Compensation and Benefits

Clinical Therapist: $49.05 Hourly
Clinical Therapist (Developmental): $42.01 Hourly

Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
