Dental Care Coordinator

About the Position: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Dental Care Coordinator. As a key member of our dental care team, you will play a vital role in delivering and promoting our dental care program to children enrolled in the Lac La Ronge Indian Band's Dental Therapy Program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Dental Therapist/Dentist during dental procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
- Provide fluoride treatments to clients, promoting good oral health and hygiene practices.
- Develop and implement oral hygiene instruction programs, educating clients on proper brushing and flossing techniques.
- Manage appointment scheduling and confirmations, ensuring seamless communication with clients and staff.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, adhering to confidentiality and data protection protocols.
- Implement infection control and sterilization procedures, upholding the highest standards of hygiene and safety.
- Provide exceptional customer service, fostering positive relationships with clients and promoting a welcoming environment.
- Perform general office duties, including administrative tasks and data entry.
Requirements:
- Certification in Dental Assisting and registration with the Saskatchewan Dental Assistants' Association.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Intermediate computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office.
- Ability to speak Cree is a definite asset, as we strive to provide culturally sensitive care to our clients.
