Key Responsibilities:
- Provide independent nursing services, administer prescribed medical treatments, and facilitate coordination of patient care and discharge.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to deliver excellent patient care, demonstrating a commitment to the vision, values, goals, and objectives of the region/facility/unit.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, prioritizing patient needs and adapting to changing situations.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, using strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development, staying current with best practices and advancements in nursing care.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program required.
- Previous nursing experience in a hospital setting is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Practice for Registered Nurses, Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics for Registered Nurses, and Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).
- Ability to prioritize care for an individual patient or group of patients, respond to a variety of simultaneous demands, and maintain concentration with frequent interruptions.
- Proficient with computers, software programs, and applications such as Windows and Word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Indigenous customs, traditions, and values.
- Ability to communicate in an Indigenous language.

- Moderate to heavy physical effort required.
