Job Title: Supervisor, Program Y Mind

The YMCA of Northern Alberta is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Supervisor to lead our Program Y Mind team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of our programs, ensuring quality and consistency, and fostering a positive and inclusive environment for our participants and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee program delivery, ensuring smooth operations, scheduling, financial management, staffing, and curriculum implementation.
  • Maintain open communication with the team, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure staff are equipped to deliver high-quality programs.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and advisors to enhance program impact and outcomes.
  • Support the implementation of strategic plans and work groups, ensuring seamless execution and collaboration with the director.
  • Ensure adherence to cash handling procedures and maintain a secure environment for participants and staff.
  • Deliver program services at the frontline level, working closely with participants to ensure program success.
  • Supervise a team of three or more members, assigning and scheduling work, and completing administrative tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Occasional travel to Grande Prairie, Wood Buffalo, and Red Deer may be required.
Requirements:
  • University degree in Recreation Management, Education, Social Work, Psychology, Ecology, or Sociology.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Mental Health, Non-Profit Organizations, or Human Services.
  • Specialized knowledge in Non-Profit Organizations, Housing field, Children and Youth families.
  • Standard First Aid & CPR-C certification.
  • Able to obtain a Police Information Check and Vulnerable sector and Child Intervention/Enhanced Security check.
