We are seeking a skilled Production Baker to join our team at Blacksmith Bakery in Maple Ridge. As a Production Baker, you will be responsible for creating high-quality baked goods in a fast-paced environment.

Job Summary:

As a Production Baker, you will work closely with our experienced kitchen team and master Pastry Chef to create exceptional food products using the best ingredients. You will be responsible for following recipes, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and working effectively under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and bake a variety of pastry products, including desserts and breads
  • Follow recipes and production guidelines to ensure high-quality products
  • Work effectively in a team environment to meet production deadlines
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards
  • Perform tasks such as cleaning and garbage handling as needed
Requirements:
  • Pastry education or equivalent experience required
  • 3 years of experience in a similar position preferred
  • Knowledge of pastry making, dessert finishing, and dessert production
  • Math skills for count-offs and measurements
  • Written and spoken fluency in English
Physical Requirements:

Able to lift and carry up to 50lbs safely and stand for long periods of time. Able to work in warm conditions around equipment that generate heat.

Availability:

Available to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
