About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Actuary to join our team at Trisura Guarantee Insurance Company. As a Senior Actuary, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining pricing models and strategies for various product lines, including property, liability, surety, and warranty products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with underwriters and business leaders to develop and maintain pricing models and economic projections for new and renewal portfolios.
  • Support underwriters in evaluating new lines of business, including premium adequacy, reinsurance considerations, and economic projections.
  • Develop and maintain KPIs, dashboards, and other tools for monitoring portfolio performance and risk.
  • Perform independent rate indications for major business lines and assess profitability of product segments.
  • Provide input on product feature structure and pricing, as well as reinsurance program strategy.
  • Work with reinsurance brokers and the risk management team to execute and evaluate natural catastrophe modeling.
  • Contribute to the ORSA, FCT, and other economic capital and stress testing processes.
Qualifications
  • Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant property and casualty actuarial experience
  • Broad knowledge of actuarial methods in property and casualty insurance
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with catastrophe modeling and GIS tools
  • Understanding of data science and statistical tools
  • Experience leading project teams and developing junior analysts
