About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Actuarial Analyst Co-op to join our Retirement Consulting Department in Toronto, ON. As a key member of our team, you will provide actuarial and administrative support for clients with Defined Benefit pension plans.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare data reconciliations, benefit calculations, and asset summaries to ensure accurate pension plan administration.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual pension statements for plan members and regulatory filings.
  • Support the relationship between clients and other members of the consulting team, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Take direction from senior team members and contribute to special projects and tasks as required.
  • Attend internal training sessions to stay up-to-date on industry topics and trends.
Requirements
  • Pursuing a university degree in actuarial science, mathematics, or a related field.
  • Progress in the actuarial exams is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with attention to detail and strong work ethic.
  • Strong professional acumen, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a dedicated team player.
  • A good understanding of the Microsoft Suite of tools, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
