Service des loisirs

Relevant du coordonnateur ou de la coordonnatrice des programmes du Service des loisirs, la personne responsable de ce poste travaille directement auprès des Aînés au Qammaq des Aînés (centre d'accueil pour les Aînés).

La personne titulaire de ce poste est chargée de :

  • Mettre en place des activités et des programmes pour les Aînés culturellement adaptés;
  • Maintenir un environnement sain et invitant pour les Aînés;
  • Aider à organiser des réunions avec la Société Qammaq des Aînés et à réaliser des tâches administratives, au besoin;
  • Assurer la liaison avec les organismes communautaires et les visiteurs du Qammaq des Aînés.

Les qualifications requises sont :

  • Expérience professionnelle avec des Aînés dans l'un des domaines suivants : organisation et animation d'activités récréatives, travail dans un établissement de soins, travail en tant que personne soignante, mise en œuvre de programmes de soutien et d'assistance ou dans un domaine directement lié;
  • Capacité à communiquer verbalement et par écrit en inuktitut et en anglais et posséder une compréhension approfondie de la culture inuite;
  • Excellentes habiletés interpersonnelles, compassion et un sens de l'humour;
  • Capacités à travailler en équipe et à planifier et mettre en œuvre divers programmes;
  • Certification en RCP et en premiers soins;
  • Desirables : diplôme en loisirs, en gérontologie, spécialisé dans les services à la personne ou dans un domaine semblable.

Le taux horaire offert pour ce poste est de 28,97 $, en plus d'une indemnité d'établissement de 11,48 $ et des avantages sociaux applicables.

La personne titulaire de ce poste doit fournir une vérification du casier judiciaire, une vérification de l'habilitation à travailler auprès de personnes vulnérables et un test de dépistage de la tuberculose.

La priorité sera accordée aux bénéficiaires de l'Accord sur les revendications territoriales du Nunavut qui répondent aux critères.

Le Service des loisirs est un organisme qui offre des programmes et des services pour les Aînés de la communauté.

Le Qammaq des Aînés est un centre d'accueil pour les Aînés qui offre des activités et des programmes pour les Aînés.
