Maintenance Technician Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at Realstar Management. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our properties, including grounds, common areas, and resident units.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, repairs, and replacements of equipment and fixtures.
  • Conduct daily visual inspections of mechanical, HVAC, and sprinkler systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Respond to and address resident maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure compliance with provincial and municipal regulations, including water testing and other safety protocols.
  • Supervise and coordinate with contractors and service providers to ensure quality work and timely completion of tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs of maintenance activities, including equipment maintenance and repairs.
Requirements:
  • Background in residential property management or related business experience.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills to interact with residents, prospects, and colleagues.
  • Ability to perform minor repairs and have aptitude for mechanical systems.
  • Basic computer and keyboarding skills.
  • Ability to lift and push heavy objects, including garbage bins, furniture, and appliances.
