We are currently hiring for a Master Data Manager.

Position Summary:
The Master Data Manager is responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of master data across the organization.

This will include the creation and implementation of business strategies to ensure master data accurately defined, categorized, and maintained to promote efficiency and enhanced customer service standards/excellence.

This position will work closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Procurement, Category Management, IT, third party vendors, GS1 and Sales to drive continuous improvement initiatives, and enhance the Flanagan Foodservice E-Commerce platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct audit process of master data and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to determine effective master data setup (taxonomy) for all existing data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product descriptions, categorizations, and other master data attributes.
  • Establish and implement master data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance across all departments.
  • Create processes and controls to monitor and improve data quality including data profiling, cleansing, and enrichment activities.
  • Leverage AI technologies to enhance the accuracy, consistency, usability of master data to enable effective decision-making and organizational efficiency.
  • Design and maintain data models for master data domains, ensuring alignment with business requirements and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to integrate master data management solutions with enterprise systems (GS1, E3, Forms,e-Commerce and Poet) and data warehouses, ensuring seamless data flow and synchronization.
  • Identify discrepancies with product and customer master data and implement effective corrective solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and requirements and provide guidance on data governance and management best practices.
  • Conduct testing, maintenance, and updates for the continuous improvement of master data.
  • Champion and lead change management initiatives to promote data driven decision-making and drive the adoption of master data management processes and tools across the organization.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors (partners) for master data management solutions and oversee vendor relationships to ensure service delivery.
  • Create and deliver training materials which support the transition to enhanced master data and e-Commerce platforms.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPI's) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of master data management initiatives and track progress towards data quality and governance objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation, to enhance efficiency, scalability, and agility of master data management operations.
  • Ensure all master data complies with all HACCP (SQF), Food Safety policies and procedures, to ensure food safety and quality compliance requirements are met.
  • Leverage technology to implement the data strategy,
  • Perform duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Management, Business Analysis, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Previous 5+ years of experience in master data management, data governance, or related fields, preferably in a medium to large-scale enterprise within the foodservice industry.
  • Experience leading projects and working effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of master data management concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Proficiency with data modeling tools and master data software.
  • Experience in the application of AI technologies to master data including master data governance, data integration and transformation (Natural Language processing), and data synchronization.
  • Demonstrated understanding of data quality management principles and techniques, including data profiling, cleansing, and enrichment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various functions and levels of the organization.
  • Previous experience in change management, process improvement, and project management methodologies considered an asset.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office tools including Word, Outlook; advanced level Excel, and other internet-based applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Must have a high level of attention to detail, and complete projects with accuracy and efficiency.

  • Class G Driver's license and the use of a personal vehicle for work related travel.
