Financial Advisor Job Description

Seeking a Financial Advisor to develop long-term relationships with members, build trust, and deliver customized financial solutions in Fort McMurray, AB.

Servus Credit Union, Alberta's largest member-owned credit union, is looking for a team player to join our Downtown branch.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify opportunities to match members with the right products and solutions
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and referral goals
  • Participate in business development plans through corporate/branch marketing campaigns
  • Develop ongoing knowledge of current investment/retail banking services and products
  • Promote referrals to Wealth Management, Business Banking teams, and 3rd party providers
  • Build a comprehensive knowledge of the local market, competitive offers, and economic trends
  • Adhere to all audits, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Provide outstanding member experience by adhering to Servus' best practices
  • Contribute to Servus' culture of teamwork, positivity, and collaboration
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of retail banking or related financial industry experience
  • High school diploma
  • Post-secondary education in Finance (or related studies) is an asset
  • Investment Funds in Canada Course & License (IFIC), Personal Financial Service Advice (PFSA), and Financial Planning I (FP1) are valuable assets
