Operations Assistant (Level 2)

G3 Wetaskiwin, a leading Canadian Grain enterprise, is seeking a highly skilled Operations Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient handling of grain throughout our elevators and terminals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate grain cleaning equipment to achieve optimal shipping specifications and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with operations management to plan and execute binning, receiving, and shipping operations.
  • Receive grain shipments by truck and/or rail, including weighing and documentation.
  • Sample grain to assess quality using grain cleaning equipment.
  • Bin and transfer grain with minimal supervision.
  • Ship grain, including handling rail cars and locomotives.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to farmers and commercial truckers.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate environment, health, and safety policies and best practices.
  • Comply with environmental standards and industry regulatory requirements.
  • Operate terminal control systems.
  • Ensure physical facilities are clean, efficient, and well-maintained.

Professional Qualifications & Experience:

  • 1-2 years of experience in elevator and/or terminal operations.
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience.
  • Level 2 grading or ability to achieve within 6 months.
