Guest Room Attendant Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Guest Room Attendant to maintain the cleanliness and comfort of guest rooms and public areas.

About the Job

As a Guest Room Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring a spotless and inviting environment for our guests. This includes cleaning, sanitizing, and refreshing guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas according to hotel standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • **Clean and Sanitize Guest Rooms**: Ensure guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas are clean, sanitized, and refreshed according to hotel standards.
  • **Maintain Guest Room Amenities**: Make beds, change linens, and replace towels and amenities.
  • **Maintain Public Areas**: Vacuum, dust, and polish furniture, windows, and fixtures in public areas.
  • **Restock Guest Room Supplies**: Replenish guest room supplies, such as toiletries, beverages, and linens.
  • **Maintain Cleanliness and Organization**: Remove trash and recyclables, and ensure proper disposal.
  • **Report Maintenance Issues**: Report any maintenance issues or lost and found items to the appropriate department.
  • **Ensure Health and Safety**: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • **Provide Excellent Customer Service**: Respond promptly to guest requests and provide excellent customer service.
  • **Maintain Cleaning Equipment**: Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in good working order.
  • **Maintain Confidentiality and Privacy**: Uphold the hotel's standards of confidentiality and privacy.
Qualifications:
  • **Previous Housekeeping Experience**: Previous housekeeping or custodial experience preferred, but not required.
  • **Attention to Detail**: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
  • **Teamwork and Communication**: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • **Physical Stamina**: Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • **Flexibility**: Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
