We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Team Lead to join our team at HelloFresh. Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of raw materials, packaging, and consumables to meet production demands.
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement process changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of production associates, providing guidance and training to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Communicate production goals, targets, and information to all associates, ensuring that everyone is aligned and working towards the same objectives.
- Ensure that all production areas and equipment are cleaned and sanitized throughout the day and at the end of each shift, maintaining a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Train new associates in job duties for various packaging machinery and inform them about safety procedures and company policies.
- Work closely with the receiving team to ensure that all necessary materials are received and stored properly.
- Maintain proper function of sanitation equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE), ensuring that adequate inventories are kept available at all times.
- Communicate regularly with the Production and Facilities and Maintenance Manager and other supervisors on progress and current or potential issues regarding production or employees.
- Ensure that all waste streams are disposed of in accordance with company procedures and regulations.
- Follow all company safety guidelines and SOPs, working safely with chemicals and other substances used in the production process.
- Support the implementation and management of HACCP, GMP, and other quality and safety initiatives, ensuring that company procedures and standards related to Food Safety and Quality are followed and maintained.
- Ensure that all production and equipment meet health, sanitation, and quality standards set by the company and food industry.
- Work in compliance with OH&S acts and regulations, using personal protective and safety equipment as directed by the employer and reporting workplace hazards and dangers to the supervisor or employer.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent, or relevant experience in a food processing, manufacturing, or service industry.
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role, with a strong background in food safety and quality.
- Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Certification is required.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs, with experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Suite (Calendar, Gmail, Docs, Sheets), and video conferencing (Hangouts, Google Meet).
- Strong and effective leadership skills, with the ability to successfully manage 30+ hourly employees.
- Experience with Inventory management and control, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate in English, both verbal and written, with strong organizational, analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure, with a flexible schedule and willingness to work overtime, on weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
