We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Canadian Tire Corporation. As a key member of our facilities operations team, you will be responsible for supervising the execution of maintenance work plans, ensuring smooth transitions between shifts, and providing operational and equipment information to oncoming shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate with team members to resolve technical problems and provide expertise and support on technical issues.
  • Provide updates on outstanding equipment repairs and improvement initiatives to ensure department cohesiveness.
  • Manage building and equipment repair issues and downtime.
  • Administer company policies and procedures.
  • Identify training requirements for team members.
  • Support the employee annual review process and coaching sessions.
  • Coordinate and supervise contractors and service technicians.
  • Communicate daily company information, safety memos, and company updates at shift huddles.
  • Perform planning tasks, such as creating drafts of PMs for implementation into Maximo and establishing PM frequency.
  • Participate in department and JHSC meetings to correct safety issues building-wide.
  • Participate in department workplace inspections with department safety reps and other department members.

Requirements

  • Must be a licensed Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A) or Industrial Electrician (442A or 309A) with relevant industrial experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory or similar role.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
