About the Role

Vestas is seeking a skilled Wind Turbine Technician I to join our team in Pincher Creek, Alberta. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for performing scheduled service, fault analysis/troubleshooting, and potential main component or blade work on wind turbines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled service and maintenance on wind turbines
  • Conduct fault analysis and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues
  • Perform main component or blade work as required
  • Work at heights and in confined spaces, while being exposed to the elements of weather
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve operational goals

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Basic Safety Training (BST), Basic Technical Training (BTT), and Advanced Rescue Training (ART) certifications from the Global Wind Organization (GWO)
  • 1-2 years of transferrable mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical work background
  • Ability to work in a team environment and take initiative in daily tasks
  • Positive attitude and safety-focused mindset
