We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Health Care Aide to join our team at Pan Am Clinic. As a Health Care Aide, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, such as walking and using wheelchairs.
- Monitor and report any changes in patient condition to healthcare team.
- Participate in care planning and implementation.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Proficiency in both official languages (English/French) is essential.
- Successful completion of an approved Health Care Support Worker micro-credential course or equivalent.
- Completed a minimum of 300 paid hours as a UHCA in the preceding 12 months.
- Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
- 18 years or older; Grade 12 (or mature student Grade 10).
- English speaking (Level 6 IELTS or Level 7 CLB).
- Work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- May be required to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.
