Job Summary:
The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for providing accurate, timely, and appropriate nutrition assessment, management, and support for clients and communities in Southern Health-Santé Sud. The incumbent applies nutrition and dietetic theory, key knowledge, and critical thinking skills to improve the health of clients and residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nutrition assessment, management, and support to clients and communities
- Apply nutrition and dietetic theory, key knowledge, and critical thinking skills to improve health outcomes
- Work effectively with diverse populations and healthcare teams
- Develop and implement nutrition care plans
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications:
- Baccalaureate degree in Human Nutritional Sciences or equivalent
- Dietetic Internship Certificate from an accredited program
- Registered Dietitian with the College of Dietitians of Manitoba
- Minimum of two years' experience as a Dietitian or in a nutrition-related profession
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare team
Conditions of Employment:
- Valid Class 5 driver's license and liability insurance
- Immunization in accordance with Southern Health-Santé Sud policy
- Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, and Child Abuse Registry Check
