About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Sawmill Operations Assistant. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our sawmill operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleanliness and Organization: Ensure that all machines and work areas are clean and organized, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Assist Processing Workers: Provide support to processing workers in their daily tasks, ensuring efficient and safe operations.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery, as needed.
  • Material Handling: Safely handle and lift materials, adhering to company protocols and guidelines.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by management, ensuring the smooth operation of our sawmill.

Requirements:

  • Industrial Experience: Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Availability: Availability to work day and night shifts, as needed, to support the operation of our sawmill.
  • Physical Condition: Good physical condition, with the ability to lift and move heavy materials.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, communicating clearly and respectfully with colleagues.
  • Safety Focus: Strong commitment to following all safety guidelines and protocols, wearing necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and taking precautions to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Reliability: Reliable and excellent work ethic, with a strong desire to learn and grow with our company.
