About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Superintendent to join our team at Tolko Industries. As a key member of our Lakeview Division, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our lumber manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Shift Supervisors and ensure they are meeting all expectations in leading, documenting, reporting, and troubleshooting operational events.
  • Be accountable for the safe and efficient planning, organizing, and all operational aspects of the plant.
  • Report to the Plant Manager and work closely with Woodlands and Maintenance teams to ensure safety, production, and overall plant safety.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve targets in quality, cost control, and employee engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Requirements
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in various areas of lumber manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, rationalize solutions, and communicate plans.
  • Experience in building and developing a positive team environment.
  • Post-secondary education in forestry, sawmill business, or industrial wood processing considered an asset.
