About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to join our team at the Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our Enterprise Risk Technology Portfolio, you will play a critical role in supporting the implementation of Climate Risk initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a detailed understanding of current state systems and data feeds required for Enterprise Risk Engines and Reporting
  • Collaborate with business users to understand business requirements and demonstrate system functionality
  • Prepare high-level and detailed requirements and specifications for the project in accordance with SDLC objectives
  • Work closely with development teams to explain requirements, validate design assumptions, and perform testing
  • Support QA and business teams in creating UAT test cases against business requirements

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in a Business or Data Analyst role, with a focus on Risk Data projects and Agile methodologies
  • Strong data analysis skills, including SQL queries and data modeling tools
  • Experience building enterprise-scale applications involving large data volumes and computations
  • Excellent documentation skills, with the ability to articulate requirements and present to business users and development teams
