**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Translate complex business data and analytics requirements into conceptual, logical and physical data models
  • Define source to target mappings to describe data transformations
  • Assess and produce data analytics artefacts, ensuring integration in the technical architecture and alignment with data quality and governance guidelines
  • Perform profiling and data analysis using advanced SQL/Python techniques on multiple platforms
  • Participate in the delivery and support of data quality, data consolidation and data migration initiatives
  • Perform design reviews and improve the effectiveness of data design and management
  • Lead the data analytics design practice by defining and maintaining standards and best practices
  • Provide guidance, onboarding and mentorship to new data designers
  • Lead the troubleshooting of data issues within the business and present solutions and recommendations
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders including Architecture, Data Engineers, Product Management, DBAs, Infrastructure and Data Governance teams

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Statistics/Computer Science/Business Analytics or other quantitative field
  • 10+ years of overall work experience
  • Minimum 5 years of data design and data modeling experience
  • Strong experience in requirements gathering, process analysis and workflow modeling
  • Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Experience in leading and participating in business workshops and business presentations

**Skills and Competencies:**

  • Experience with data design tools (Erwin Data Modeler r12.5 or similar version)
  • Experience with dimensional modeling and relational database modeling techniques
  • Advanced SQL skills to support data profiling, unit testing and data extraction
  • Experience in a Data Lake, Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence or relevant data environment
  • Proficiency working with Azure Data Lake (ADLS), Azure Data Factory and Databricks
  • Experience working with DevOps CI/CD, Azure DevOps or GitHub
  • Exposure to data modeling and data architecture best practices
  • Expert ability to identify data gaps and assess end-to-end data requirements
  • Ability to learn quickly, problem solve/troubleshoot, work independently or in a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group
