As a Sous-Chef, you will play a key role in directly supervising the kitchen team and managing daily operations. You will assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, stock management, and cost control. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the preparation and quality of dishes at every stage of their creation, rigorously following recipes and applying appropriate culinary techniques. You will efficiently organize workstations, ensure compliance with sanitary and food safety standards, and motivate the team to maintain high standards. Your ability to closely collaborate with the chef and team members will guarantee an exceptional and consistent culinary experience for our guests.
YOUR ROLE IS CRUCIAL
- Assist the Executive Chef in leading a large and dynamic kitchen team.
- Offer enticing flavors and superior quality dishes to our guests by supervising a section of our high-volume gourmet kitchen.
- Support, train, mentor, and develop a dedicated and passionate kitchen team.
- Create a respectful and inclusive environment that welcomes and supports people from all backgrounds, helping them reach their full potential.
- Encourage engagement and retention of the Corner team through training, recognition, and ongoing coaching.
- Manage the budget effectively and professionally and actively participate in kitchen management activities.
- Work closely with our Executive Chef and other Sous-Chefs on ideas and techniques that will make our cuisine authentic, creative, and distinctive.
- Ensure smooth operations, service excellence, and adherence to food hygiene standards.
- Take pride and responsibility in every dish prepared and significantly contribute to the overall quality of dishes served.

WE NEED YOU IF
- You have a Professional Cooking Diploma (DEP) or 4 to 5 years of experience in cooking, mainly in hotel establishments.
- You have a strong ability to work in a team and ensure smooth communication, with the capability to communicate in both French and English with our international suppliers.
- You have proven leadership skills that foster team development and motivation.
- You have excellent stress management skills, the ability to work calmly and composedly, and maintain a high level of execution during busy periods.
