We are seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused Lab Technician/Patient Care Coordinator to join our team at KMH Cardiology Centres Inc.
As a Lab Technician/Patient Care Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting physician practices and facilitating patient intake through timely, high-quality, and efficient administrative care.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate patient intake and daily clinic operations
- Manage physician orders and ensure timely completion of tasks
- Utilize Tableau to facilitate KPI attainment and ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner
- Meet and achieve established KPIs
- Perform ECG, Holter, and Blood Pressure Monitor hook-ups as needed
- Respond to patient inquiries and follow up on missed appointments
- Inform and educate patients about tests and procedures as requested by physicians
- Process prescription renewal requests as directed by physicians
- Optimize clinic capacity and foster a collegial, respectful clinic environment
- Graduate of an approved Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent
- Lab Technician (certified)
- Medical administration experience
- Proven ability to work proficiently in a busy, fast-paced specialist clinic environment
- Self-directed, detail-oriented, and able to multitask, establish priorities, and achieve objectives with minimal supervision
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Superior telephone etiquette and conflict resolution skills
- Proficiency in technology, including MS Office and EMR systems
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Able to deal with sensitive information with a high degree of diplomacy
- Team orientation and ability to provide coverage at both Markham and Scarborough locations
