Patient Flow Operations Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to join our team as a Patient Flow Operations Leader. This role is responsible for coordinating safe and efficient patient care services within Colchester East Hants County, Northern Zone facilities and Nova Scotia Health.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with patients, families, management, staff, physicians, community partners, and continuing care providers to address challenges and achieve high-quality, safe, and cost-effective services.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related health discipline, with 3-5 years of experience in an acute care setting and 1-2 years of supervisory and leadership experience. They will also possess demonstrated leadership, planning, organization, time management, and conflict resolution skills, as well as proficiency in software programs related to bed utilization and the Patient Flow Dashboard.
About You- We are looking for a collaborative and strategic thinker who can apply their knowledge and experience to address complex challenges.
- The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of continuous quality improvement principles and the ability to apply them in a healthcare setting.
- They will also possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Competencies in other languages, particularly French, are an asset.
- This is a permanent full-time position, with 75 hours bi-weekly.
- Shifts will include days, evenings, and weekends, with the possibility of overnight shifts during times of system overcrowding.
The successful candidate will be eligible for our comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
They may also be eligible for a $5,000 signing bonus and up to $5,000 of relocation assistance with a defined Return of Service contract.
