Overview:

As a member of our Benefits and HR consulting team, you'll help our clients -- employers of all sizes, across all industries to build workplaces that work better. We are looking for a Benefits Consultant that has the character and personality to work with an accomplished team of personable and motivated individuals. Our Benefits Consultants are responsible for driving revenue growth by building and maintaining valuable relationships with prospects and clients. This is delivered by consulting with clients in the area of employee benefits. Are you passionate about helping clients manage risk, cost and facilitate an equitable and engaged workforce? Responsibilities:

Your primary accountability will be to develop and acquire new business revenue through sales to new and existing clients with emphasis on small to mid-size companies with high revenue. Participating in team sales situations with other producers and support personnel. Developing a pipeline of business opportunities that are an appropriate mix of new clients and account expansion. Introducing Gallagher's full-service offering to broaden the scope and impact of client relationships assisting, educating and mentoring other staff members in new client sales situations and existing client service requirements. You will convey deep technical expertise and business insight in helping clients evaluate opportunities to reduce cost, risk and improve the overall competitiveness of benefits, retirement and HR services. Constantly stay ahead of industry, market and legislative trends that impact health & welfare plan design, delivery and compliance. Reciprocally develop proposals that are fiscally sound, reflect an appropriate investment in the client, and demonstrate the overall capabilities of Gallagher. Establishing and maintaining inter division/intercompany relationships consistent with our workplace culture.

Qualifications:

You will be successful if you possess:

  • Significant consultative B2B sales experience
  • Have developed new business as well as maintained an existing customer base
  • Experience in the Benefits Administration and Consulting industry is ideal
