About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Manager to join our team at The Boeing Company. As a key member of our manufacturing operations leadership team, you will be responsible for guiding the execution of composite fabrication and assembly processes to achieve safety, quality, compliance, schedule, and cost objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Manage, develop, and motivate employees and first-level managers within multiple manufacturing and functional disciplines to enhance performance and expand capabilities.
  • Program Planning and Execution: Apply an in-depth understanding of management principles and practices to develop integrated and operational program plans, policies, and procedures aligned to achieving program and site safety, quality, schedule, and cost goals.
  • Performance Monitoring and Improvement: Monitor metrics and key project milestones to ensure performance to plan is achieved. Take appropriate actions to course correct as required.
  • Resource Planning and Management: Work with Manufacturing Senior Manager peers and cross-functionally to forecast and develop plans to acquire the resources required to meet operational plans and department activities.
  • Cultural Transformation and Continuous Improvement: Lead the cultural transformation and continuous improvement activities within the program and site utilizing Lean Manufacturing principles and processes.
  • Risk Management and Opportunity Capture: Support the identification and management of risks, issues, and opportunities within the assigned program and guide the development and management of risk mitigation and opportunity capture strategies and related activities.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: Communicate organizational messages, site/program strategy, business goals, and program status to first-level managers and employees to keep them informed, solicit feedback, and take appropriate actions when required.
  • Relationship Building and Partnership Development: Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with program customers and partners, stakeholders, peers, and direct reports.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: 5+ years of first-level management experience with responsibility for direct reports.
  • Manufacturing Experience: 5+ years of experience leading teams to achieve planned business goals and objectives and improvement activities utilizing Lean Manufacturing principles and processes.
  • Management Experience: 2+ years of 2nd-level management experience – leading first-level managers.
  • Project Management Experience: General experience in project management, and the development, communication, and implementation of key strategic and operational initiatives.
  • Availability and Eligibility: Willing and able to work 2nd shift (evening). Must be legally able to work in Canada. Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods. Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data.
