About the ProjectThe Shoreline Power Group is a fully integrated Joint Venture of Aecon, United, and SNC-Lavalin. We've been awarded a contract by Bruce Power to execute the Fuel Channel and Feeder Replacement (FCFR) project at the Bruce Nuclear Generating Station in Ontario.
Purpose of the PositionThe Senior Quality Specialist reports to the Project Quality Manager and is responsible for developing quality-associated documentation and processes that comply with customer, contract, technical specifications, Code, and local jurisdictional requirements.
- Develop quality plans and prepare deliverables.
- Schedule quality surveillance activities and gather results.
- Support the development of inspection procedures.
- Collaborate with the project site team on quality matters.
- Report conditions affecting quality to the Project Quality Manager.
- Develop inspection, examination, and testing steps for Comprehensive Work Packages.
- Work with the project coordinator and trade supervisor to complete CITPs and CITP Addendums.
- Review history dockets and history files from suppliers.
- Prepare history docket/history file packages.
- Assist with the review of purchase requisitions.
- Assist with the disposition of non-conformance reports.
- Implement actions associated with documented corrective action reports.
The Senior Quality Specialist is responsible for coaching and directing 3-5 Quality Specialists.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Certification in Quality Engineer (CQE) or Quality Technologist (CQT).
- 5 years' experience and knowledge with Nuclear Codes & Standards, and an understanding of Nuclear Safety Culture.
- Project site experience with understanding of DEC's/DCN's and development of Comprehensive Work Packages.
- Knowledge and experience with Nondestructive Methods and their application.
- Knowledge and experience with Weld Procedures, Welding Processes, and their application.
- Experience interfacing with project team members, the AI/ANI, and customer representatives.
- Experience working in a nuclear facility and interfacing with the facility owner.
- Experience with replacement Fuel Channel components and Feeder Pipe would be an asset.
