Job Title: Fire Protection Designer Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Fire Protection Designer with expertise in CAD and REVIT to design automatic fire sprinkler systems and prepare drawings in accordance with current codes.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fire protection design and general construction, with proficiency in AutoCAD and HydraCAD systems. Responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing drawings considering architectural, structural and mechanical plans;
  • Reproducing and drawing sketches, drawings and plans;
  • Arranging sprinklers on drawings in accordance with current standards;
  • Participating in project meetings with project managers and other trades for project coordination;
  • Ordering materials based on coordinated drawings;
  • Conducting field surveys for installation drawings;
  • Estimating change orders and assisting with quote preparation for the sales team.
Required Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in fire protection design;
  • Diploma in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Design, or equivalent relevant experience;
  • Proficiency in computer-assisted design with AutoCAD;
  • Knowledge of Revit design (an asset);
  • Knowledge of standards and codes governing design and installation of automatic fire protection systems;
  • Knowledge of HydraCAD (an asset).
