About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Healthcare Security Officer. As a key member of our security team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our healthcare workers and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Deliver outstanding customer service to patients, visitors, and staff, with a focus on professionalism and courtesy.
  • Prevent Security Incidents: Monitor site visitors, perform ID checks, and prevent theft, violence, or infraction of rules and regulations.
  • Respond to Emergencies: Respond promptly and professionally to site emergencies, including alarms, medical emergencies, fires, and other urgent matters.
  • Communicate Effectively: Effectively communicate all suspicious activities, concerns, issues, and events to our dispatch team on behalf of the clients' assets.
  • Prepare Reports: Prepare and maintain professional and effective reports regarding the activities, security violations, and hazardous occurrences on site.
  • Patient Watch and Patrol: Regularly patrol the facility to prevent potential conflicts and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Requirements
  • First Aid and CPR Certification: Hold a valid First Aid and CPR certification from a recognized organization, such as Red Cross or St. John's Ambulance.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent verbal and written English communication skills, including report writing.
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with a professional demeanor and deportment.
  • Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Ability to solve problems, make decisions, and respond to emergencies under pressure.
  • Discretion and Confidentiality: Maintain discretion when handling confidential and private information.
  • Physical Ability: Possess the physical ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.
  • Security Clearance: Ability to pass a security clearance and obtain a security license (a valid security license is considered an asset).
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent and of legal age.
