Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Security Officer to join our team at Paladin Security. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our healthcare clients and their visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Respond to site visitors, perform ID checks, and provide a high level of customer service to ensure a positive experience for all individuals.
  • Prevent Security Incidents: Monitor site visitors, prevent theft, violence, or infraction of rules and regulations, and respond professionally to site emergencies.
  • Communicate Effectively: Effectively communicate all suspicious activities, concerns, issues, and events to our dispatch team on behalf of the clients' assets.
  • Prepare Reports: Prepare and maintain professional and effective reports regarding the activities, security violations, and hazardous occurrences on site.
  • Patrol the Facility: Regularly patrol the facility to ensure the safety and security of all individuals.
Requirements
  • First Aid and CPR Certification: Must have current First Aid & CPR from Red Cross, St. John's Ambulance, or Life Saving Society.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, including report writing.
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, professional demeanor, and deportment.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to solve problems, make decisions, and respond to emergencies under pressure.
  • Discretion: Discretion when handling confidential and private information.
  • Physical Ability: Physical ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Security Clearance: Ability to pass a security clearance and obtain a security license (a valid security license is considered an asset).
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent and of legal age.
