Senior Social Worker

Health Careers in Saskatchewan is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our team in the Discharge Planning and Support department at Pasqua Hospital.
Job Summary:
The Senior Social Worker will provide high-quality client service and maintain professional standards of practice in the Discharge Planning and Support department. This role requires the use of high-order knowledge, clinical expertise, and strong interpersonal skills to assess and support patients and/or to coach, mentor, orientate, and provide education to an assigned team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide supervision and coaching within acute care in the Discharge Planning and Support department.
- Use high-order knowledge, clinical expertise, and strong interpersonal skills to assess and support patients.
- Coach, mentor, orientate, and provide education to an assigned team in Discharge Planning and Support.
- Draw on standards of practice for case management, professional codes of ethics, social work standards of practice in health care, program policy and procedures, and relevant legislation.
Requirements:
- Three years recognized clinical experience with demonstrated leadership ability.
- Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree.
- Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW).
- Preference to HSAS members as per the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement.
