Cement Supervisor (Class 1) - Estevan, SK

Magnum Services is a well-established company in the oilfield cementing service industry, with a strong presence in North America. We are committed to providing our customers with a unique blend of technical expertise and project execution excellence.

As a Cement Supervisor (Class 1), you will play a key role in managing the day-to-day field primary and remedial cementing operations on location and at the shop. This is a safety-sensitive position that requires strong leadership and technical skills.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage and mentor personnel, equipment, and materials to ensure timely arrival at location.
  • Execute successful cementing jobs according to design and client specifications, with a focus on rigging in/out procedures.
  • Ensure efficient handling of day-to-day operations, including critical tasks such as measuring cement density, collecting samples, and blowing down units and P-tanks.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal departments, including Sales and Dispatch.
  • Work with station management to maintain operation and service standards, and assist in leadership of the Station.
  • Adhere to and enforce company Safety policies, and ensure compliance with HSE legislation.
  • Prepare end-of-well, end-of-month, incident, and maintenance reports, as required.
  • Implement and maintain procedures to ensure high levels of service.
  • Develop and maintain strong external and internal client relationships in support of company values and objectives.
  • Work with management to improve policy and procedures.
  • Verify load tickets.
  • Supervise a crew on basic primary cement jobs.
  • Demonstrate the ability to operate any two of the core pieces of equipment.
  • Complete Supervisor 1 sections of Magnum's internal competency evaluation program.
  • Participate in training and development activities.
Qualifications:
  • Valid Class 1 (Canada) or Class A CDL (U.S.) driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Physically capable of moving and lifting heavy objects, bending, standing, gripping, sitting/driving, walking, and climbing repeatedly for extended periods.
  • Able to work outdoors for extended periods and in all types of weather conditions.
  • Able to be on call 24 hours on a rotational schedule, remaining fit for duty at all times.
  • Able to work in congested or confined areas, and with exposure to loud noises and vibration.
  • Demonstrated ability to direct and motivate the work of others.
  • Legally eligible to work in the country where the role is based.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Good computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office and other software, as required.
  • Able to perform calculations required to execute a cement job.
  • Demonstrated ability to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety.
  • Able to perform regular maintenance on equipment.
  • Demonstrated leadership.
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, reliable, and dependable.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to change.
  • Team player and customer service focused.
  • Demonstrated initiative and results-oriented.
