Job Summary

Magnum Cementing Services is seeking a highly skilled Remedial Cement Supervisor to join our team. As a Remedial Cement Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day field remedial cementing operations on location and at the shop. This position also supports primary cementing activity as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and mentor personnel, equipment, and materials to ensure timely arrival at location.
  • Execute successful cementing jobs according to design/client specification, understanding rigging in/out procedures.
  • Ensure efficient handling of day-to-day operations.
  • Ensure critical tasks are completed on every cementing job, including measuring density, collecting samples, utilizing radios, and blowing down units.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internally with other departments.
  • Work with station management to maintain operation and service standards and assist in leadership of the Station.
  • Evaluate Bulk Drivers and Operators on weekly maintenance requirements and equipment rebuilding.
  • Adhere to and enforce company Safety policies and ensure compliance with HSE legislation.
  • Prepare end of well, end of month, incident, abnormalities, maintenance, logbook, and end of jobs tickets and reports.
  • Verify load tickets and conduct incident reporting.
  • Implement and maintain procedures to ensure high-level service.
  • Develop and maintain strong external/internal client relationships.
  • Work with management to improve policy and procedures.
  • Supervise a crew on basic remedial jobs.
  • Demonstrate ability to operate core pieces of equipment.
  • Understand slow rate squeeze theory and competently perform operational execution.
  • Understand downhole tools and coil tubing fundamentals.
  • Complete Supervisor 1 sections of MAP.
  • Support primary cementing activities as needed.
  • Participate in training and development activities.
Qualifications
  • Valid class 1 (Canada) / class A CDL (U.S.) driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Physically capable of moving/lifting heavy objects up to 23 kg.
  • Able to work outdoors for extended periods and in all types of weather conditions.
  • Able to be on call 24 hours on a 15 days on a 6 days off rotational schedule.
  • Able to work in congested or confined areas and with exposure to loud noises and vibration.
  • Experience as an oil and gas cementing supervisor and in operating pumpers.
  • Demonstrated ability to direct and motivate the work of others.
  • Legally eligible to work in the country the role is based out of.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Good computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and other software.
  • Experience in the completion of reports.
  • Experience in dealing with customers and dispatch.
  • Understanding of cementing job design and client specifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety.
  • Able to perform all regular maintenance on equipment.
  • Demonstrated leadership.
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, reliable, and dependable.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to change.
  • Team player and customer service focused.
  • Demonstrated initiative and results-oriented.
