Job Title: Laboratory Analyst

Join our team as a Laboratory Analyst and play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our medicines. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for generating results while following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements.

Job Summary

As a Laboratory Analyst, you will be responsible for analysing laboratory samples using various chemical and instrumental techniques. You will work under minimum supervision to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform analysis of laboratory samples, including raw materials, in-process products, and finished products, using analytical instruments and established procedures.
  • Notify supervisors of any observations or results that may affect the validity of data or reflect variability in the manufacturing process.
  • Document and compile all observations and data obtained from testing, adhering to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and good documentation practices.
  • Recognize out-of-specification (OOS) or out-of-trend results and assist in the completion of laboratory investigations under the direction of the supervisor.
  • Perform calibration of laboratory equipment as required by the department's established calibration program and GMP requirements.
  • Dispose of waste solvent and order chemicals or laboratory supplies as needed.
  • Work collaboratively as a team member to achieve all outcomes.
  • Work in a safe manner, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.

  • Ensure personal adherence to all compliance programs, including the Global Business Ethics and Compliance Program, Global Quality policies and procedures, Safety and Environment policies, and HR policies.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or a related field from a recognized educational institution; or Community College diploma in a related field with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in the analysis of pharmaceutical products.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word, and other Microsoft programs, as well as laboratory software packages.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Knowledge of GMP/GLP principles.
  • Problem-solving ability.
  • Proven organization and time management skills.
  • Experience with FTIR, titration, UV, and chromatography (TLC and column) techniques.
