Respiratory Therapist I, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist I to join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) team at BC Children's Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our respiratory therapy services.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Operate and maintain respiratory equipment, including ventilators and oxygen therapy devices, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support to patients and families.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and evidence-based practices in respiratory therapy to provide the best possible care for our patients.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy.
- Successful completion of the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care examination.
- Current and continuing registration with the British Columbia Society of Respiratory Therapists (BCSRT) and the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT).
- Current Basic Life Support certification.
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification.
