Respiratory Therapist I, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

Job Summary
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' respiratory conditions and develop individualized care plans.
- Operate and maintain respiratory equipment, ensuring optimal performance and patient safety.
- Initiate, monitor, and assess ventilator-dependent patients, adhering to established care protocols.
- Administer medical gas therapies and provide cardio-pulmonary monitoring.
- Respond to emergency situations, including cardiac arrests, and provide critical care.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- Successful completion of the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care examination.
- Current registration with the British Columbia Society of Respiratory Therapists (BCSRT) and the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT).
- Current Basic Life Support certification.
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification.
