Job Summary:Under the direction of the Primary Health Care Manager - Therapies and supervision of the Speech-Language Pathologist - Senior, the Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing speech/language programs for preschool children and/or adults within the assigned service area.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, organize, and implement speech/language programs for preschool children and/or adults
- Work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Master of Speech Language Pathology (SLP)
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Saskatchewan Association of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists membership
- Basic - Writing skills
- Basic - Interpersonal skills
- Basic - Organizational skills
- Basic - Leadership skills
- Basic - Verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Positive approach to deal with challenging situations with empathy and sincerity
- Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
- Registered/eligible with SK Assoc. of SLPs and Audiologists (SASLPA)
- Experience in feeding/swallowing with peds/adult acute patients
